About topin

Topin is exam prep for the GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS and Digital SAT, built around one question: which points are you missing, and why? What you get: • Full-length mock tests that follow the real exam: same sections, timing, question types and scoring scale. Adaptive where the real test is adaptive (GRE, GMAT, Digital SAT), with essays and speaking band-scored for IELTS and TOEFL. • Section-wise practice by question type, with the answer and a full explanation straight after every question. • A question tracker that logs every answer you give, so you can see exactly which topics cost you marks and drill those. • Progress over time against your own target score. Every mock is original and named after a planet, Mercury to Neptune. The Digital SAT mocks run in a Bluebook-style player with a built-in graphing calculator and reference sheet. Pricing: one free full-length mock for every exam, plus a free practice taster. After that it's a one-time pass per exam, no subscription. Built by a solo maker who wanted prep that tells you what to fix, not just a score.

Overview

Who is it for?

Students preparing for the GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS or Digital SAT

Problem

Most test prep gives you a score and a pile of questions, but not why you're losing marks. Students keep redoing what they already know and walk into the exam with the same weak spots.

Solution

Full-length mocks timed and scored like the real exam, practice by question type with an explanation after every answer, and a tracker that logs every question you answer, so you can see which topics cost you marks and drill exactly those.

What makes it unique

Five exams in one place, each with original exam-faithful mocks (adaptive where the real test is). Writing and speaking get band scores with feedback. One free full-length mock per exam, then a one-time pass per exam instead of a subscription.

FAQ

Is topin free to use?
Yes, to start. Every exam (GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS and Digital SAT) includes one free full-length mock test, plus a free practice taster: 20 questions per section and 2 essays. After that you buy a one-time pass for the exam you're preparing for. There is no subscription.
How much does a topin pass cost?
Passes are one-time payments per exam: $19 for 1 month, $39 for 3 months or $59 for 6 months in the US, with local prices in other regions. A pass opens all 8 full-length mocks, every practice question with explanations, and full results and review for that exam. Preparing for more than one exam costs less per exam when you bundle them.
How close are the mocks to the real exam?
Each mock follows the real test's sections, timing, question types and score scale. Where the real exam is adaptive, so is the mock: the GRE and Digital SAT route you to an easier or harder second section, and the GMAT picks each question based on your answers. The Digital SAT mocks run in a Bluebook-style player with a built-in graphing calculator and reference sheet.
Are the questions official or copied from past papers?
No. Every question is original and written to match the style and difficulty of the real exam. Practice questions never appear in the mocks, so a mock is always a fresh test.
How are IELTS and TOEFL writing and speaking scored?
Writing and speaking answers get a band score on the official scale with feedback, the sentences worth reworking highlighted, and a sample answer to compare against. GRE essays are scored on the 0 to 6 scale the same way.
What does the question tracker do?
It logs every question you answer, in mocks and in practice. You can tag why you missed one (careless slip, concept gap, vocabulary, ran out of time), save questions to retry, and see which question types and topics cost you the most marks, so you know exactly what to practise next.
