## What a sitemap validator should catch

Unreachable child sitemaps and invalid <loc> values are real crawl blockers. Soft limits and http: locs are softer but still worth fixing before launch week.

Google largely ignores changefreq and priority - do not chase a perfect score on those alone. Prefer accurate lastmod and a clean unique URL list.

After fixes, re-check with the sitemap finder and submit the canonical index URL in Search Console.
