Prompt: get your app's emails into the inbox, not spam
Paste this into Claude Code, Cursor or Codex inside your repo. The agent lists every email your app sends, gives you exact DNS records to paste, and adds the one-click unsubscribe headers, suppression list and rate limits that Gmail and Yahoo expect.

The prompt
Paste it into an agent that has your repo open. It plans first and waits for your OK before writing code.
Or paste one line
Fetch https://www.scrolllaunch.com/prompts/email-deliverability.md and carry out the prompt in its "Prompt" section on this repo. Show me your plan before writing code. For agents that can fetch URLs. The agent pulls the full prompt from this page's markdown version, which includes the last step above.

Deployed? Score your site
Runs your live URL through the free SPF DKIM DMARC Checker. Free SPF, DKIM, and DMARC checker - plus MX - so founder email is less likely to land in spam.
Checks MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC for your domain. DKIM is found by trying common selectors, so a provider with a custom selector can show as missing even when it's set up. Confirm that one with the dig command from the prompt.
How to use
4 steps from paste to deploy
- 1
Open your repo in a coding agent
Claude Code, Cursor (agent mode), Codex or Windsurf. The agent needs to run dig, so it needs a terminal.
- 2
Paste the prompt and review the email table
Check each email is marked correctly. Password resets are transactional; a weekly digest is marketing.
- 3
Say OK, then add the DNS records
The agent makes the code changes. You paste the DNS records it gives you at your DNS provider.
- 4
Check after DNS propagates
Run your domain through the email auth checker and send one test through mail-tester.com.

Questions
Email deliverability prompt FAQ
Why does my login email go to spam?
Usually missing or misaligned SPF/DKIM, no DMARC record, or the same domain sending marketing that people mark as spam. The prompt fixes all three and keeps marketing on a separate subdomain.
Do I need one-click unsubscribe for login emails?
No. Gmail and Yahoo require it for bulk and marketing mail. Transactional emails like logins, resets and receipts still go to people who unsubscribed from marketing.
